During her near-fatal bout of pneumonia, Elizabeth Taylor made it clear to her doctors that she didn't want to linger too long on life-support systems. "I only wanted to be on the (respirator) for two weeks," she told USA Today. "I wouldn't want to be on a life-support machine for the rest of my life, turning into a vegetable." Taylor, who attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings with boyfriend Larry Fortensky, says she has given up "my last vice" - smoking. "I can't even be around people who smoke because contact smoke from somebody else is the equivalent of one pack to my scarry little lungs," she says.
