The man accused of killing a Utah tourist pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges he intentionally stabbed the victim during a mugging in a Manhattan subway station.

Yull Gary Morales, 19, was ordered held without bail after entering his plea before state Supreme Court Justice Edwin Torres. He and seven other suspects have been jailed since their arrests shortly after the Sept. 2 slaying.Morales and his co-defendants had already been accused of felony murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of Brian Watkins of Provo during the commission of a felony - the robbery in the 7th Avenue and 53rd Street station.

The new indictment, handed up Tuesday by the same grand jury, accused Morales of intentionally murdering Watkins.
