If you can't go to the mountain, ZCMI will bring the mountain to you in candy miniatures this holiday season. Carol Wallace works on a hardtack and gumdrop Delicate Arch, one of Utah's many mountain landmarks that's being created in candy as part of the store's annual Christmas tradition. The arch and other candy wonders will be unveiled Friday, Nov. 23, at 5:30 p.m. at the downtown store. The Intermountain Brass Ensemble will perform Christmas music from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Other displays will include Bridal Veil Falls, made of gray rock candy; Mount Olympus, in melted white nougat complete with neighborhood streets, and 120 residences and flickering house lights. Fiber optics help create the lighting effects.
