The Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the 1990 "Business of the Year Award," which recognizes businesses for their continued growth, innovation of product and community involvement, according to Fred S. Ball, chamber president.
The chamber developed the award three years ago with the sponsorship of Equitable Life and Casualty Co. The nomination deadline is Nov. 30 and more information can be obtained by calling Doug Rhodes at 364-3631.Ball said if the winning company has less than 500 employees, it will be the chamber's nominee for the Small Business Administration's Small Business of the Year Award. The winning business will be honored during the chamber's Business to Business Expo '91 in February.
Judges are looking for for an established business which has creatively and imaginatively developed its products or services, actively involved itself in chamber activities, successfully responded to challenges or adversity and demonstrated growth in employment, sales and volume, Ball said.
