A bunch of fast-peddling fat-tire racers will hit Park City in July.
The National Off-Road Bicycle Association, the country's governing organization for mountain-bike racing, has selected Park City as one of three sites for World Cup races. The other sites are Traverse City, Mich., and Mammoth Lakes, Calif.The World Cup races begin in April and are scheduled through September. In addition to World Cup races, the U.S. National Series and Grundig Challenge make up the 1991 mountain biking series. The races determine national champions in mountain biking, and top finishers compete in the sport's World Championships, scheduled in Lucca, Italy, Sept. 29-Oct. 6.
Last July, Park City hosted one of eight national mountain bike races. About 500 competitors raced at Telemark Park.
