The deadline for applications to Leadership Utah, a 12-month education training program for the community's future leaders, is Nov. 30.

The program is sponsored by the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce."Leadership Utah is a program designed to identify and train future community leaders. Participants graduate with greatly enhanced personal development, an expanded network system and an increased appreciation and awareness of our community's critical issues," said Deborah S. Bayle, vice president of administrative services for the chamber.

A maximum of 35 people will be accepted. Applicants should currently hold middle or upper-level management positions with their organizations, demonstrate a high-level of interest in the community, aspire to serve in leadership roles and plan on remaining in the area for at least five years.

The tuition is $800 for chamber members and $1,100 for non-members. Subjects scheduled for examination during 1991 are community overview, state government and taxation, the arts, law enforcement and crime, tourism and economic development, health care, education, Utah culture, local government, transportation and voluntarism.
