Graveside dedication services for B. Grant Fagg, a Salt Lake native and director of the LDS Institute of Religion at the University of Alberta in Canada, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Funeral services for Mr. Fagg, 64, who died Aug. 2, 1988, in Milwaukie, Ore., of a brain tumor, were held Saturday in the Woodburn, Ore., LDS Ward chapel.He was the father of Deseret News staff writer Ellen Fagg.

Mr. Fagg was born July 3, 1924, in Salt Lake City, to Charles William and Martha Price Fagg.

He was an Air Force fighter pilot during World War II. He served as a stake patriarch in Oregon and in Cape Town, South Africa. He also served as bishop, a counselor in a stake presidency and was called as a Seattle Temple worker.

He taught LDS religion classes at Chemeketa and Mount Hood community colleges, Portland State University, Willamette University and Linfield College. In 1984 he was transferred to Cape Town, where he taught religion classes and trained religion teachers. (See obituary on page B4.)
