Lloyd Melvin Walters, 91, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died in his sleep November 17, 1990 in Salt Lake City.

He was born April 28, 1899 t Fredrick Albert and Anne Josephine Lundeen Walters. he married Mary Evette Rhodes on June 17, 1947 in Salt Lake City.Lloyd worked for Denver Rio Grande Railroad for 42 years and on the DRG Veterans Board for 20 years. He loved family, travel, spectator sports and fishing. He was a member of the LDS Church.

He is survived by his wife, Evette; four daughters, Virginia Dean, Connie Rowsell, Clea Polychronis, and Mickey Walters, all Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by two sons, Lloyd and William Walters.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 21, 1990, at 11 a.m., in the MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive. Friends may call Tuesday evening, from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral Directors MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary.
