Leola Marentine Johnson Ericksen, 74, died Saturday, November 17, 1990 at the Logan Regional Hospital.
She was born on April 20, 1916 in Logan, Utah, daughter of Leo Wilford and Maren Fonnesbeck Johnson. She married Joseph Durell Ericksen in the Logan LDS Temple on October 14, 1938. They shared many activities together with their children and families. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1978.She was an english teacher at West Side High School in Dayton, Idaho. Member of the Utah Daughters of Pioneers, member LDS Church.
Survived by children and families: Russell and Marilyn Ray, Farmington; David and Charlotte Nelson; Leo and Susan Ericksen, all Beaverdam; Steven and Joy Sadler, Tremonton; grandchildren and great-grandson, Edward and Yuko Ray; Sho Christopher, Reynoldsburg, Ohio; Jeanine and Darren Rhoton, Biloxi, Miss.; Carol Ray Quito, Ecuador; Leola Aline (LaLine); and Jonathan Ray, Farmington; Stephen, Sharolyn, and Kirk Ericksen, Beaverdam; Lara Sadler, Tremonton; sisters, Mrs Ren (Elma) Hansen, Logan; and Mrs. Herbert (Laura) Newey, Lafayette, Calif.; Mrs. Raleigh (Edna) South, Vallejo, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Gordon.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 1990 at 12 noon, in the Logan 32nd Ward Chapel, 340 West 700 South, with Bishop Calvin Page conducting. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, on Monday evening, from 6-8 p.m. and at the Logan 32nd Ward, on Tuesday, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial in the Beaverdam Cemetery.
