Ethel Porter Pollock, age 87, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died November 16, 1990 at the home of her grandson in Kearns, of natural causes.
Born July 5, 1903 in Escalante, Utah, to Isaac Arnold and Mary Ann Alvey Porter. Married Lloys Pollock, April 27, 1922 in Escalante, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized, June 24, 1935 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death October 3, 1933. Active member of the LDS Church, having served in various positions over the years. She took pride in raising a garden every year and was well known in Escalante for the beautiful quilts she made. She was completely devoted to her family, and took pride in all of themWE WILL MISS YOU GRANDMA.
Survived by daughter, Mrs. Jedd (Colleen) Kofoed, West Valley; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Harry (Barbara Pollock) Collard, Salt Lake; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Ada Porter, Escalante. Preceded in death by son, Gary Lloys Pollock, three sisters, Erma, Letty, Ella, two brothers, Preston and Jerrod.
Funeral services, Monday, November 19, 12 Noon, in the Escalante 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call from 10:30-11:30. Burial, Escalante Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neal Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield.
