Marsha Anne Hunt Torres, wife, mother, sister and aunt died at her home November 12, 1990 from heart failure.
She was born to James V. and DeLila Hunt on November 14, 1939 in Washington, D.C. She was raised in the Salt Lake Capitol Hill area and graduated from West High School. She received a BA Degree from the University of Utah in music and education. She was a member of MU Phi a national music sorority. She married Gilbert Torres, February 9, 1970. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many auxiliaries of the church and the Cub Scout program. She was currently serving as Sunday School Organist and choir accompanist. Her interest included music, painting, quilting, handwork, hiking, camping, swimming and skiing. She taught in the Salt Lake, Pima, Arizona and San Jose Evergreen School Districts.She is survived by her husband; son, Enrique; two sisters, Mrs. Vic (Shirley) Wareham, Wilmington, Delaware; Joan Bench, Salt Lake; a brother, James and LeAnn Hunt, Logan, Utah; 10 nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Preceded in death by parents and grandparents.
Memorial services were held November 16th, at the Foothill LDS Ward, San Jose, Calif. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Fund in Marsha's name.
