Aleeca Kay, Bruce Taylor and Kris Taylor are the first three Job Corps students to complete a "college bound" program at the Weber Basin Job Corps in Clearfield.

Under the program, which was started in October 1989, students take college courses under the direction of Utah State University. It takes five quarters to earn 45 university credit hours.There are currently 42 Job Corps students who have earned 600 credits, but Kay, Taylor and Taylor are the first to complete the entire five-quarter, 45-credit program.

Kay said she plans to attend USU winter quarter, Kris Taylor is looking for a job so she can earn money to pursue a degree in English and Bruce Taylor said he is still deciding between an athletic trainer program at Weber State University and an industrial ceramics program at Salt Lake Community College.
