The Wayne Brown Institute has extended the deadline to Nov. 26 for those businesses wanting to make presentations during the Utah Venture Capital Conference, according to Brad Bertoch, executive director.
The conference will be held Feb. 7.Bertoch said the deadline extension will give people who have been out of town or making presentations to other conferences a chance to submit their presentations.
The companies selected by a panel of venture capitalists and others to make presentations during the conference are looking for capital to give their companies a financial boost. Of the 70 companies participating in the previous conferences, Bertoch said more than 50 percent have received more than $40 million.
In addition to the institute, sponsors of the conference are several law and accounting firms, Novell Inc., Small Business Administration, Metro Utah, Utah Power & Light Co. and US WEST Communications.
