The deadline is fast approaching for this year's annual "Christmas I Remember Best" contest, sponsored by the Deseret News.
Short stories of events that actually happened to the writer or some actual person are sought, whether it occurred just last Christmas or decades ago. Entries should be between 800 and 1,000 words and be typewritten or handwritten legibly. Those not selected for publication will be returned if submitted with a self-addressed, stamped envelope.A $60 prize will be awarded for each of the stories selected for publication. The deadline for stories reaching the Deseret News is Friday, Nov. 23, the day after Thanksgiving.
The winning stories will be published in the Deseret News a few days before Christmas with accompanying illustrations by the Deseret News art department.
