A man robbed the Valley Bank & Trust Co. Wednesday afternoon, stealing an undisclosed amount of money less than 24 hours after a downtown bank was robbed.

The 4:50 p.m. robbery occurred at the Glendale Industrial Office at 1295 S. Redwood Road.The robber approached two bank cashiers and demanded money after threatening them with a handgun. He then left northbound in a maroon Ford Mustang with Utah plates, said FBI spokesman James Screen.

The robber is described as a white male in his late 20s, with brown hair and a mustache, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds.

Screen said the man was wearing a grey tweed jacket and a tie.

No one at the bank was hurt, Screen said.

The incident is still under investigation.

The First Security Bank, 2001 S. Main, was robbed Tuesday morning at about 9:45 a.m. by a man who handed a teller a note demanding "all the money."

Police later arrested a California man and his wife in the Colonial Motel, 1530 S. Main.
