Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Melvin H. Sharp, age 86, passed away November 13, 1990, in a local hospital.
Born October 28, 1904, Cedar Hill, New Mexico, to Frank W. and Stella C. Ridenour Sharp. Married Helen Grace Tucker, May 30, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah. "Mel" was a successful, self employed Cattle Rancher and Real Estate Investor in the Delta and Price area; coming to Salt Lake City upon his retirement. In addition to enjoying his horses, he was an avid golfer. Mel was also a devoted family man, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.Survivors include his wife, Helen; a daughter, Shar Leigh; a son, Burnell Sharp; four grandchildren, Laurie Raddatz, Margo Bills, Mark Malouf and Craig Sharp; and two great-grandchildren, Brian Pender and Eric Vincent, all from Salt Lake City; and a brother, Meryl Sharp, Cherry Valley, CA. Preceded in death by a son, Ronald; a daughter, Julie Pettey; a brother, Olivier; and a sister, Reola.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 16th, 2 pm at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So. 2300 East, where friends may call for one hour prior to the services. Interment: The Salt Lake City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
