An Aug. 31 preliminary hearing date has been set for a Spring City man charged with stealing $44,000 from his employer over a 4-year period.
The Utah attorney general's office filed 67 charges of theft against Glen Osborne, 54, in July. Charges included 49 felonies and were related to Osborne's employment with the Horseshoe Irrigation Co. of Spring City.Osborne's arrest was the culmination of an investigation that was started in September by the attorney general's office at the request of the Sanpete County Sheriff's office.
In a telephone conference with counsel, 6th Circuit Judge David Mower set the preliminary hearing date. Osborne has not entered a plea in the case.
