Sarah Murray John, 75, died Monday, November 12, 1990 in the Bear River Valley Hospital after a long illness.

She was born January 26, 1915 in Samaria, Idaho, a daughter of Joseph W. and Luella Bradshaw Murray. She married Owen David John, December 6, 1933 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mrs. John was reared and educated in Garland, graduating from Bear River High School. She had lived in Pocatello Valley, Idaho, Grace, Idaho dand Tremonton. She had been employed at Carl & Don's Food Town, American Food Store, Brigham Apparel and at Gephart's Store for several years. She was an active member of the LDS Church and had served as Primary President in Grace, Idaho and Secretary of the Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society of the Tremonton 3rd Ward. She was also a temple worker.Survivors include her husband of Tremonton, one son and three daughters and their spouses; David and Kris John, Tremonton; Carolyn and Douglas Allred, Garland; Sharon and Lloyd John, Denver, Colorado; Elizabeth Groendyke, San Jose, California; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one brother, George Murray, Shelley, Idaho; three sisters, Luela Miles, Grace, Idaho; LaDean Hendricks, Blackfood, Idaho; Marble Hanson, Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by one brother, one sister.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 15, at 12 noon in the Tremonton 3rd and 8th Ward Chapel, 9590 No. 6800 West, with Bishop Raymond N. Hansen officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 No. 100 East, Tremonton. Interment in the Brigham City Cemetery.
