A can of food is worth a free gift and admission to the Sears Community Night Sunday, Nov. 18, at the downtown Salt Lake Sears.

Organizers hope the evening event, which includes drawings, giveaways and sales, will help increase supplies of much-needed food for the Salt Lake area's emergency food pantries. Food donations will be handled by Utahns Against Hunger."This is a critical time of year," said Steve Johnson, UAH director. "It's a time of increased need, particularly food, for Utah's low-income families."

Non-perishable food and cash donations are welcome at the door of the event, which runs from 6-10 p.m. For more information, call Bill Bunker of Sears, 321-4159.
