Utah Valley Community College students can participate in Walt Disney World's Cooperative Education program in Orlando, Fla., where the company offers co-op positions to 2,100 students during the spring, summer and fall months. The co-op consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction in resort hospitality, merchandise management and entertainment management.
UVCC Cooperative Education Director Carl R. Johnson said the college places 800 students per year with more than 300 different employers and that students participating in the Walt Disney program sometimes have the opportunity for full-time employment after graduation."I think it's a marvelous opportunity for our students to work in their career field for one of the most creative companies in the world," said Johnson.
