The Utah County public works department has finished a five-year road rebuilding program in Genola, a small town with few pieces of road construction equipment.

Clyde Naylor, county engineer, said the county and Genola reached an agreement where Genola will pay the county for rebuilding and maintaining the roads. A master plan was drawn up that allowed the county to rebuild Genola's roads while maintaining its other 700 miles of roads.Genola's Main Street was the first to be rebuilt. Three feet of fill material was brought in and the base was widened to allow the pavement to be 24 feet wide.
