Ona Rees Anderson, 78, died November 11, 1990 in a Mt. Pleasant Hospital.

Born Wales, Utah, November 16, 1911, to David P. and Elvira Melissa Cox Rees. Married H. Raymond Anderson, June 5, 1929, Manti LDS Temple. Ona was an active member in the LDS Church, and held numerous positions, including Relief Society president, MIA president, ward and stake drama director, teacher in all auxiliaries. She was county president of the DUP. Co-author of Wales History "These Our Fathers". Captain of Coalbed Camp DUP. Very involved in genealogy and enjoyed learning of her heritage. She wrote histories on her ancestors. She loved children and was a very loving mother and grandmother.Survived by husband, Wales; three sons and their wives, Duane R. and Claudine, Maurice R. and Josie, all of Sandy; Terry R. and LaRae, Murray; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, David and Newell Rees, both of Wales; Merrill Rees, Big Piney, Wyoming. Preceded in death by sister, Myrtle Rees, and two grandchildren.

Funeral Services Thursday, November 15, 1 p.m., Wales LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call Ursenbach Funeral Home, Wednesday, 7-8:30 p.m. and Thursday at the chapel one hour prior to services. Interment: Fountain Green Cemetery.
