Citizens will have an opportunity to express their feelings in two public hearings scheduled during the Orem City Council meeting tonight.

The first, beginning at 6:45 p.m., will discuss vacating the public right of way between 100 East and 200 East at 1400 South. A company has recently asked to develop the area. The second, at 7 p.m., will focus on the rezoning of the Old Orchard Subdivision, between 400 East and the Timpanogos Research Technology Park Subdivision, at about 1300 North.

If approved, the changes would allow the applicant to construct maid's quarters and enclosed recreational facilities.

In other business, Mountain View High School cross country track teams have requested a financial contribution because both the men's and women's teams have been invited to participate in a national meet in Fresno, Calif., in December.

The council will decide how much help, if any, the teams will receive.
