Ilah Naisbitt Giles, 85, died November 8, 1990 in Salt Lake City at the home of her daughters.
She born November 12, 1904 in Hooper, daughter of John Henry and Florence May Singleton Naisbitt. She married Charles Ellis Giles December 30, 1932 in Hooper; the marriage was solemnized December 2, 1960 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away July 26, 1981. She was reared and educated in Hooper, received her BS degree in 1951 from the University of Utah; received her Masters from Utah State University. Active member of the LDS Church, member of the Utah Pioneers. She taught school for over 50 years.She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Kathleen) Hansen, Salt Lake City; daughter-in-law, Frances H. Giles, Clearfield; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, J. Reed and Lois Niasbitt, Hooper; Mayre N. Nielsen; and Mrs. Richard H. (Kathryn N.) Westmoreland, both Salt Lake City; also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Charles.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m., at the Hooper 3rd Ward, 5601 South 6100 West. Friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at the Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and Thursday at the church from 11:45-12:45 p.m. Interment in the Hooper City Cemetery.
