Economist R. Thayne Robson and Utah banking executive Ross Kendell have been named as the 1990 co-recipients of the Utah State University Professional Achievement Award.

The award is presented by the university's Alumni Association and the USU College of Business' Partners in Business program.Robson is executive director of the University of Utah's Bureau of Economic and Business Research and also is a professor of management and a research professor of economics.

Kendell is president and chief executive officer of Key Bank of Utah. He also is a director of the Commercial Building Corp. and the Utah Economic Development Corp., where he recently served as chairman.

Robson is a 1951 graduate of Utah State and also received a master's degree from USU. Kendell graduated from USU in 1960 and was chairman of the university's Alumni House fund drive.
