Baby Jane Doe was released from McKay Dee Hospital Thursday and is now in a local foster home.
"The baby was in good condition. She's a cutie," said Jim Alvey, McKay Dee director of public relations. The infant was found abandoned Nov. 1 on the front porch of an Ogden east bench home. The girl was taken to the hospital, where doctors determined she was less than 24 hours old.
Alvey said Monday the baby will remain in the temporary foster home until her natural parents are found or she is adopted.
The baby remained in the hospital for a week because Alvey said she suffered from a bacterial infection and was treated with antibiotics.
Baby Jane was found by 75-year-old Melba Bingham, police said. She was found wrapped in a white towel in a cardboard box on Bingham's front porch about 1 p.m.
The baby had no clothes or diaper on and she was laying on a blue foam-rubber eggcrate pad.
