Carl Zierold, 77, passed away November 9, 1990 in Salt Lake City.

He was born April 10, 1913 in Eureka, Utah to Kurt and Elfrieda Riedel Zierold. He married Mary Myers February 14, 1937 in Farmington. Long-time resident of Lehi, Utah. He was a member of the LDS Church. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Line truck driver for P.I.E. for 29 years. Security Guard for Salt Lake County (Capitol Theatre) for 10 years.He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Gerald, Hacienda Heights, Calif.; two daughters, Karlyn Petersen, Bountiful; and Mary Ann Culley, Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Douglas Peterson, Cedar Fort, Utah; Glen Peterson, American Fork; Wayne Peterson, Salt Lake City; Charles Peterson, Lehi; three sisters, Helen Aberle, Lehi; Clara Van Volkenbergh, Reno, Nev.; Erma Werner, Sacramento, Calif. Preceded in death by parents, one brother and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 13, at 12 noon, at the Russon Brothers Chapel, 255 South 200 East, SLC, where friends may call Monday evening 6 to 7:30 p.m. and from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow in the American Fork Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
