Our Dear Mother, Blanche Cahoon Moss, born Sept. 23, 1900, Woods Cross, Utah, passed away November 8, 1990, at the Bountiful Lakeview Hospital of natural causes.
She was the daughter of Stephen LeRoy and Eliza Nelson Cahoon. She married Walter H. Moss August 21, 1918, in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with six children. He passed away April 30, 1972. Blanche was active in all church organizations and many civic auxiliaries. She and her husband served a two-year mission in Palmyra, New York, where they restored the Peter Whitmer Home. They were ordinance workers in the Salt Lake Temple for 20 years. In the later years of her life she played in the Senior Citizens Jazz Band.She is survived by: Five children: Mrs. Irvin (Ruth) Cleverly, W. Sherman Moss, Mrs. James (Connie) Cleverly, all of Woods Cross; Mrs. Jay (Betty) Willey, Layton; Mrs. Don (Pat) Scoffield, Three Forks, Montana; 27 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Roy, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 13, 1990, at 12 noon in the Woods Cross Stake Center, 2050 South 800 West, Woods Cross. Friends may call Monday, Nov. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 No. Main, Bountiful, and from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to services at the stake center. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
