Kathryn Bowen Bullen, age 72, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister died in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, November 6, 1990 from a stroke which she suffered following open heart surgery on October 31, 1990.

Born November 28, 1917 in Logan, Utah to William Potter Bowen and Mary Ann Raymond Bowen. Married Reed Bullen in Logan March 31, 1939; their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Kathryn graduated with a degree in English from Utah State University where she was student body vice-president, Sweetheart of Sigma Chi and a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She was a member of the Logan Literary Club for 35 years. She served as an election judge and registration agent in Logan for many years. She was active in the PTA. Kathryn served as matron of the Logan Temple from 1978 to 1983 and was active in the Logan 24th Ward at the time of her death. She was an avid reader, kept abreast of current affairs and loved the outdoors. Kathryn loved her home and made it a heavenly place.She is survived by her husband, Reed Bullen, Logan; brother, Jack Bowen, Logan; sister, Dorothy Bowen Crockett, Preston, Idaho; and her five children and 10 grandchildren. Children include Mary Ann Bullen Wright, Salt Lake City; Brooks Bullen Jessen, Ogden; Dr. Reed Bullen, Jr., Jonathan William Bullen, and Kathryn Louise Bullen, all of Logan. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Logan 24th Ward Chapel, 1260 North 1600 East. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan, Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment: Logan City Cemetery.
