Two Salt Lake County men were killed and three others were critically injured Saturday when their compact car plowed into a downtown office building, Salt Lake police said.

Killed were:Nghia T. Truong, 21.

Bao Quoc Nguyen, 18.

Apparently the driver, Nghia T. Truong, lost control of the vehicle while traveling westbound on 800 South and hit a building at 530 West, said Salt Lake Police Lt. Judy Dencker.

Also injured in the 1:55 a.m. accident were three passengers - Dang Dung, 28, Tung Van Do, 20, and Phong T. Lam, 20, Dencker said.

Dung was in critical condition at University Hospital and Do and Lam were in critical condition at LDS hospital. All three suffered serious head, neck, chest and abdominal injuries, nursing supervisors said.

A sixth person, Nam Nguyen, 19, was in fair condition at Holy Cross Hospital.
