A teenage Salt Lake girl suffered facial injuries in a car rollover in South Salt Lake early Saturday.
The girl was a passenger in the vehicle, which apparently rolled after hitting a pillar supporting I-80 at 4274 S. 300 East, said South Salt Lake police officer Tracy Tingey. The girl was taken to St. Mark's Hospital where a nursing supervisor said she was in fair condition. Police declined to release her name because of her age.Also injured in the 9:20 a.m. accident was the driver, Andrea Westerfield, 18, of Salt Lake City. Westerfield was treated and released at St. Mark's Hospital.
Police said the accident occurred when Westerfield was southbound on 300 East and apparently lost control of the car.
