A masked gunman who robbed a convenience store Monday while wearing a gorilla mask may have struck again Wednesday, Salt Lake police said.

A man entered a store at 1702 E. 1700 South about 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, pointed a sawed-off shotgun at the clerk and demanded money. He was wearing a long green coat and an "ugly" Halloween mask, police said.At the same time Monday, a man matching the same description robbed Strong's Quality Gas and Snack, 1751 S. 1100 East. The robber, who was wearing a gorilla head mask, walked up to the owner of the store and exposed the barrel of a sawed-off shotgun from underneath a green trench coat, a Salt Lake police report said.

The gunman ordered the owner to give him money and threatened to kill him before he fled the store.
