The Episcopal Church is going ahead with plans to hold its triennial General Convention in Phoenix despite Arizona voters' rejection of a Martin Luther King holiday.

NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue this week recommended that the 1993 Super Bowl be moved from Phoenix, but Episcopal Presiding Bishop Edmond Browning said more good can be done by staying."I believe that by working with people of good faith, we can make a vigorous witness for the dignity of all God's people against the evils of racism," Browning said.
