There's been some backstage upheaval at rehearsals for "Carnal Knowledge" in New York.
Janine Turner, who also appears in the television series "Northern Exposure," was fired from the cast after one of the stars, "Brat Pack" actor Judd Nelson, criticized her work, The New York Times says."Janine is a lovely person but she has a different approach toward acting than the others," said producer Martin Kaufman. "They weren't cruel to her face but they did complain about her. It bothered me that there was so much friction between them because everyone is working for cheap and I want them to be happy. With a cast of seven, I would rather see one person leave than see six people unhappy."
The play, which also stars Justine Bateman and Jon Cryer, opens off-Broadway on Nov. 19.
