Chicago White Sox catcher Carlton Fisk underwent surgery on both knees this week but will be ready for spring training, the team said Friday.
Team physican James Boscardin performed the arthroscopic procedure at Palos Community Hospital and reported Fisk, 42, was "doing excellent." Boscardin cleaned fragments from Fisk's left knee and removed a spur from the right knee. Rehabilitation is expected to take two to three months.Locally . . .
