Clyde E. Hansen, age 75, a long time resident of Malad, Idaho, passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on Sunday, November 4, 1990 at his home following a long battle with cancer.

He was born June 8, 1915 in Bear River City, Utah; to Jacob P. and Julia Georgina Johanson Hansen. He was raised and educated on the family farm near Holbrook, Idaho. When he was 20 he moved to Logan, Utah for the winter months. He met Margaret Ruth Palmer and they were married February 15, 1937; their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He was a farmer all of his life in the Holbrook area.He is survived by his wife, Ruth; Malad, Idaho; two sons, Darwin C., Bountiful, Utah; D. Jay, Malad, Idaho; two daughters, Kathleen Smith, Tigard, Oregon; Becky J. Polson, Rigby, Idaho; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Raymond John Hansen, Glendale, Calif.; Lavard Jacob Hansen, Boise, Idaho; Roy Willard Hansen, Firth, Idaho; Robert Clint Hansen, Downey, Idaho; a sister, Betty J. Hansen, Logan, Utah. Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and an infant son.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 12 noon at the Malad 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 308 West 400 No. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Wednesday at the Benson Horsley Funeral Home, 132 West 300 North, Malad. Interment, Logan City Cemetery.
