New Mexico football coach Mike Sheppard says cornerback Donald Levingston has been allowed to rejoin the team, but won't play in the Lobos' final two games this season.

Levingston, a junior, was suspended by Sheppard for missing the team plane to Colorado State two weeks ago. Sheppard said Levingston would be allowed to take part in workouts and attend training table sessions."What we want to find out first is see if he's willing to commit to getting better," Sheppard said. "He's been reinstated and we hope nothing gets in his way."

New Mexico plays Utah on Saturday and ends the season against San Diego State next week.
