Actor Marlon Brando said in a newspaper interview Saturday he fears his daughter, Cheyenne, a key witness in a murder case, may have suffered brain damage from an overdose of drugs in Tahiti.

He told La Depeche de Tahiti that Cheyenne, a 20-year-old model, suffered minor heart failure after taking too many tranquilizers and anti-depressant pills."I hope her brain cells have not been irreversibly affected, but it is too early to say," Brando said.

Cheyenne is a key figure in a murder case against her brother Christian, 32, accused of fatally shooting her boyfriend, 26-year-old Tahitian Dag Drollet, last May during an argument. Christian Brando has pleased not guilty, saying the gun went off accidentally.
