Kelli Frame, Abby Maestas, Michele Parish-Pixler and Liza Smart will be honored as Women of Courageous Action by the Utah National Organization for Women.

The awards are given to recognize the efforts of women who have made profound contributions to the lives of women and minorities.Frame is the co-founder of the Mormon Women's Forum. Maestas, who has a Spanish language radio program on KRCL, works with organizations such as NAACP, NOW, the Governor's Hispanic Advisory Council and the Utah Hispanic Women's Conference. Parish-Pixler is the executive director of the Utah American Civil Liberties Union. Smart is an activist who has worked on Salt Lake's Stonewall Center.

The awards will be presented at a dinner Saturday, Nov. 10, at Alta Lodge. Tickets are available by calling 483-5188.
