John Thorpe Hilton, 84, of Salt Lake City, died November 4, 1990 in Salt Lake City.

He was born April 27, 1906 in Wellsville, Utah to John and Amilia Thorpe Hilton. Married Thelda Bradley on November 24, 1926 in the Logan LDS Temple; shed died April 25, 1935. He married Millicent Hainsworth on June 15, 1936 in Salt Lake City; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a carman for 40 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Carmen and a member of the LDS Church.

Survived by his wife, Salt Lake City; sons, Keith B. Hilton, Salt Lake City; Alfred (Ted) Hilton, West Valley City; Jack H. Hilton, Magna; daughter, Noreene Corbitt, West Valley City; 21 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Besides his first wife, he is preceded in death by a son, Colin Hilton; and a sister.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 7, at 1 p.m., in the Wellsville, Utah Cemetery. Friendsl may call at the MacKay Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, in Salt Lake Tuesday, 6-8 p.m.
