Marion Hendrickson Brady, age 87, our beloved father, grandfather and brother, passed away November 3, 1990.
He was born December 20, 1902 in Union, Utah to Warren Parish and Martha Ellen Cole Brady. On October 20, 1926, he married Melva Wardell in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Melva preceded him in death November 10, 1984. Marion was President of the Jackson League and the Sagebrush Club. He was an active member of the LDS Church including, High Priest, Jordan River LDS Temple worker and had served an LDS Stake Mission. He was Chief Building Inspector for Salt Lake County and also Utah State Building Inspector as well as serving as a Director for the Salt Lake City Suburban Sanitary District #2, retiring in 1983. Marion has been extremely active in the Democratic Party all of his life.Survivors include, daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Beverly) Cleghorn, Grand Junction, Colorado; Mrs. Phil (Betty) Peterson, Fort Collins, Colorado; Mrs. Bruce (Mary Jane) Gray, Midvale; Mrs. Bob (Ann) Allen, South Jordan; Mrs. Zane (Marion) Parker, Vancouver, Washington; 26 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Mervin L. and Marjorie Brady, Union; sister, Laura Stelter, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 7, 1990, at 11:00 a.m. in the Midvale East 2rd LDS Ward Chapel, 7250 South 300 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
