The Utah County Commission Monday approved a policy for use of the Utah County Administration Building and the old County Courthouse by outside parties.

The policy states that meeting rooms in the two buildings can be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. A fee will be charged if use of the building occurs after normal business hours or when special services are requested.A deposit and/or user fee may be required to offset expense incurred by the county to accommodate a particular use, such as janitorial costs. Use for private or commercial functions shall be charged an additional fee.

The commissioners said it is their intent to encourage the public to use the buildings.
