The Flameco Division, Ogden, of Barnes Group's Aerospace Components Unit has been awarded a $21 million contract by Kelly Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, for components used in the F-100 Pratt and Whitney jet engine.

The contract is effective immediately and runs through 1991, with options for additional quantities in 1992 and 1993. It covers production of more than 21,400 convergent nozzle segment assemblies used in the augmentor section of the F-100 engine, which powers the F-16 and F-15 U.S. fighter planes.Flameco is the latest addition to Barnes Group's growing aerospace components business. It specializes in producing advanced precision fabrications and assemblies for jet aircraft engines and airframes largely for military applications.
