The Primary Children's Medical Center Women's Endowment Board has appointed Elda Rae Gunn to serve as chairwoman for 1988-89.
Gunn has been a member of the board for seven years and has been co-chairwoman for the past two years. The board sponsors the annual Festival of Trees for the benefit of needy children at the hospital.The first Festival of Trees was held in 1971 to raise money for medical treatment of children. Since then, the program has raised more than $4 million.
The 1988 Festival of Trees will be held November 30 through December 3 in the Salt Palace. The festival includes wreaths, table-top decorations, Sweet Shoppe, gift boutique, cookie recipes, entertainment, a gingerbread village, celebrity Santa and hundreds of decorated trees.
Linda Alder and Nancy Woodard will serve as co-chairwomen of the board.
