Election returns top the evening. Now that we're done voting, we get to sit back and see how everyone else voted.

Here's a quick look at who's carrying election coverage and when: CNN begins continuous coverage at 5 p.m. and C-SPAN at 6 p.m.; Ch. 4 has an hour at 8 p.m.; Ch. 5 has an hour at 8 p.m. and a half hour at 10:35 p.m.; Ch. 11 has an hour at 8 p.m. and 90 minutes at 10:30 p.m.; and Ch. 2 has an hour at 9 p.m.Remember, that's in addition to the coverage that local channels will carry during their regular newscasts.

Elsewhere, a two-part Matlock (7 p.m., Ch. 2) concludes; Nova (7 p.m., Ch. 7) gets a jump on NBC's upcoming miniseries with "Earthquake!"; an infant's body is discovered on In the Heat of the Night (8 p.m., Ch. 2), bringing back painful memories for Gillespie; Dan's birthday isn't anything to celebrate because of Roseanne (9 p.m., Ch. 4) - it's on late because of election coverage; CBS Comedy Bloopers (9 p.m., Ch. 5) is another collection of outtakes from - you guessed it - CBS series; and the Coach (9:30 p.m., Ch. 4), who's had a tough year already, is in for another blow tonight - he and Christine break up.

- LOOKING TOWARD WEDNESDAY: Paul's younger sister has a crush on Kevin in a fine episode of The Wonder Years (7 p.m., Ch. 4) that was postponed from an earlier date; 48 Hours (7 p.m., Ch. 5) is hoping "To Catch a Crook"; Live from Lincoln Center (7 p.m., Ch. 7) pre-sents "A Little Night Music"; KSTU presents The Man from Snowy River (7 p.m., Ch. 13); Corbin Bernsen ("L.A. Law") guests on Dear John (8 p.m., Ch. 2); The Fanelli Boys (8:30 p.m., Ch. 2) take a shot at Doogie Howser, M.D. (8 p.m., Ch. 4); and there's another death in-studio on WIOU (9 p.m., Ch. 5).WHOOPS: Because of an error in one set of listings that Mr. Spud failed to double check, last Saturday's Utah at San Diego State football game was incorrectly listed on Ch. 2 in addition to Ch. 7, where the contest was actually carried.

Mr. Spud hopes all of you Ute fans found your way to the correct channel. Or, considering the outcome (SDSU 66, Utah 14), maybe he did you a favor.
