A Hill Air Force Base cargo specialist has pleaded not guilty to charges he stabbed an Ogden man to death in September.
Keith Edward Mincy, 20, entered his not guilty plea during an arraignment Friday before 3rd District Judge James Sawaya. The judge denied a request to release the man from the Salt Lake County Jail and scheduled a bail hearing for Wednesday to discuss the request. His bail is currently set at $100,000.Mincy is charged with second-degree murder for the Sept. 23 stabbing death of Lorenzo Thompson, 20. The victim was stabbed during a fight about 2 a.m. at 125 S. West Temple in downtown Salt Lake City. Court documents state Thompson died from a single stab wound to the heart.
