Salt Lake City Magazine, which started publication a year ago, has received the 1990 Ozzie Gold Award from Magazine Design and Production for being judged the best new publication for overall design for a new regional or city publication.

Publisher Jeff Bell said when he introduced the magazine in October 1989, he was certain Salt Lake City was ready for a first-class magazine and hoped the people would subscribe and support the endeavor with advertising. "The city supported us and now this award is recognition of the city as well as the magazine," Bell said.He said the magazine has 4,000 sales at newsstands and a circulation of 15,000.
