The last official day of court business in the old County Courthouse has come and gone.

Carma Smith, clerk of court, said Friday was the last official day the 4th District Court conducted business in the old building.The court and the clerk's office will be closed from Nov. 5-9 while the move is being made to the new 4th Judicial District Center at 125 N. 100 West.

Smith said the only filings that will be accepted by the clerk's office during the week are those which must meet deadlines imposed by rules of procedure.

The only court business will be a few hearings scheduled earlier.

The new court facility will be dedicated on Tuesday and will be open for business Nov. 13.
