Jamal Farmer rushed for three touchdowns Saturday, helping Hawaii hand New Mexico its 22nd consecutive Western Athletic Conference road loss with a 43-16 victory over the Lobos.

Farmer carried 16 times for 115 yards, scoring on runs of 22, 1 and 56 yards for Hawaii, 5-3 and 2-2 in the WAC.Garrett Gabriel completed 10 of 16 passes for 172 yards and added two touchdown passes.

New Mexico, 2-8 and 1-4 in the league, scored its first touchdown on a 1-yard dive by Monte Cuba, a 282-pound nose tackle playing in the offensive backfield.

The Lobos also scored on a 39-yard field goal by David Margolis and an 18-yard touchdown pass from reserve quarterback Marcus Goodloe to Derrick Washington.
