Lawrence Morris Mauchley, 92, passed away Friday, November 2, 1990 at his home.

Born April 7, 1898 in West Jordan, Utah to Leonard and Mary Croft Mauchley. He worked as a railway mail clerk for the U.S. Government. He served in World War I in the U.S. Army. He had also been a member of the National Guard. On the 11th of July, 1921 he married Blanche Sorrow in Ogden; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away in 1937. The 13th of January, 1939, he married Lenore Peterson in the Logan LDS Temple; she passed away May, 1972. He married Olive Payne in the Ogden LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church serving as a high priest. He served as a teacher and as a temple worker in the Ogden Temple, served two stake missions, and as branch president in Sun City, California. He enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and loved to travel.Survived by his wife, Ogden; one son and five daughters, Dr. Moylen Peterson, King City, Calif.; Helen Mauchley Cook, Logan; Lois Mauchley Serivner, Lake Havasu, Ariz.; Shanna Mauchley Ames, Bremmerton, Wash.; Carma Ballingham, Ogden; and Jackie Warburton, Yorba Linda, Calif.; 23 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Arnold Mauchley.

Funeral services Monday, 1 p.m., Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Monday, 11:45-12:45. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
